Samsung Gear S3
I co-lead this project and it started with producing a photoshoot that showcases the devices elevated and emerging from the shadows. Retouching direction was to give them a luxurious and premium lighting. It also involved creating and replacing parts such as the texture and constructing the gear teeth in the dial. The devices were shot separately, so highlights and reflections were created to give the effect they were shot together.

SC Johnson • Ziploc
In order to represent the product aesthetically, you must control transparency for highlights, mid-tones and shadows. so the background can be changed. Controlling the highlights and opaqueness of the plastic is not simple. The products were not photographed in the scene they are in now. Most were shot on a gray backdrop but needed to translate to any color background. For retouching the kid, I had a style guide to reference for the look and feel of the lifestyles.

Pizza Hut
For the slices being pulled, it is crucial to the client that the cheese pulls are elegant but natural. The cheese, crust and each of the toppings, were isolated and color corrected per art direction. The heart pizza was created from a traditional round pizza. Then the next image is a before and after where I removed two slices from each pizza. The football player involved some 3D work to emphasize the letters following the shape of the gloves. Lastly, an image of a stuffed crust pizza that showcased the cheese pulls.

DCVB • Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau
These images were created to promote the shopping, food, sports, parks and nightlife that Dallas has to offer. Some of these involved heavy compositing from multiple shots. You can see an example of the compositing in action when you go to the Animation page click on the images.

Audi
Audi considers their headlight technology to be a paramount feature. The client wanted to use the image on the left but they wanted to change it into a night time scene. One particular aspect about retouching for Audi is that many of their assets are not outfit for use in the American market. Some examples of components that change consists of trim packages, fender shapes, emblems, lights, and license plates.

Samsung TV
This image required us to remove all branding from the players, then change the uniform colors so that they did not represent any specific brands.

Skatell’s
These are examples of raw photography I shot for a jewelry company. Lighting is extremely crucial to jewelry and some pieces require multiple shots to capture the sparkles and detail of the stones. Multiple shots were needed for the color refractions in the bottom diamond and were composited during photography. Watches are a challenge to set up for photography. The client requested this angle and they wanted to see the natural rounded shape of the band. The key was staging the watch so you could see inside the band but still hold the shape.

Greenville Drive Baseball
The idea was to promote ticket sales during the holidays for a minor league baseball team. I used the two stock images on the left to create the composite image on the right.
